is the developer responsible for Spider-Man’s most recent adventures, including
Shattered Dimensions and Edge of Time, which were adequate games, but lacked
one key component: New York City. Both went with separated, linear levels,
leaving behind the open world trappings of Spidey games of old. After a few
years break, Beenox is taking Peter Parker back to where he fits in best, as
the newly announced Amazing Spider-Man movie game will feature an open NYC once
more...

Amazing Spider-Man when it swoops in this June, and today it revealed the studio's new look for
Rhino, one of the not-so-friendliest foes of them all...

The University of Southern California has retained the position of “Top School for Video Game Design Study.” GamePro Media and the Princeton Review teamed up to give the school top honors in their survey of their top ten graduate and undergraduate programs. USC beat out 150 other schools for first place in both categories.
Schools were assessed on the basis of a survey with more than 50 questions. Faculty qualifications, post-graduation employment rate and alumni achievement were all taken into account.

The Nintendo 3DS isn't the only portable gaming device that can produce 3D graphics without the need for special glasses. LG's upcoming Optimus 3D phone will achieve a similar effect and has already secured a game publishing partner in Gameloft...

It’s been a long road, but at last there is closure in the so-called “violent videogames” case that has been raging for years. In November of last year the EMA (a group representing gaming politically) took the State of California all the way to the Supreme Court for a 2005 law that made it illegal to sell certain games deemed too violent to children. After arguments months ago, the highest court in the USA gave its ruling of 7-2 in favor of the EMA, finding the law unconstitutional...
