Nintendo was a bit sneaky yesterday at the Nintendo 3DS event in Amsterdam. After announcing the March 25 release date for Europe, it cleverly dodged the RRP announcement by saying shops would decide the retail price, after buying in the stock from Nintendo for an already-agreed amount. But how much is that, exactly?

A veritable flurry of 3DS trailers are besieging would-be consumers this week, augmenting confirmed and new facts alike with plenty of practical demonstrations of what you can do with that $249-worth of raw multi-dimensional power.
One such is Sega's simian sequel, Super Monkey Ball 3D...

If you were given to terrible graphical pedantry, no doubt you could go through this gameplay trailer for the 3DS version of Street Fighter IV and draw up a lengthy list of all the ways in which the poly count's lower and the effects pared down to fit onto the 3DS screen. In fact, Capcom is obviously ready and willing for you to do that, as they've only gone and packed the trailer full of moments straight out of the promo material for the full-size versions of the game...

If our hands-on descent into the throes of Resident Evil: The Mercenaries wasn't enough of a taster of how the new 3DS spin-off will work, maybe it's time to take a look at the game's trailer all on its own. Here's what Capcom has seen fit to reveal to you, their adoring public: all things considered, it's pretty generous with the eye candy...

So much 3DS news happened today that we’re only now catching up with it. Not only was the launch finally detailed (March 25 in the UK, March 27 in the US and will cost $249.99/whatever UK retailers want to charge), we got a crapload of new screens and footage for Nintendo’s upcoming 3DS games. Now you could search the site for them (and we wouldn’t mind you increasing our pageviews), but we’ll make things easier on you with this handy guide to all the new first party titles shown today. Let’s start with the Software lineup trailer Nintendo premiered during this morning’s press event...
Matt, Justin and Brett are currently playing their way through a whole bunch of 3DS games on both sides of the Atlantic, so while they're busy I thought I'd take the time to fill you in on all the sexy details I have from the press conferences they've just seen.
Games, release dates, prices, multimedia content, extra tricks, bells and whistles... There's a whole lot you don't know, but if you'll kindly click over the page, I'll splurge it all in your direction. Shall we?
Seriously, Nintendo? Seriously? We at Radar UK have just collectively sat through Nintendo's European 3DS press conference (some of us actually there, some of us streaming it over the internet), and while the whole thing was rather exciting, there were only two pieces of information we really wanted. The release date and the price. But now that it's all over, we only have one of them.
Why? Because although Ninty has confirmed a $249.99 price point in America, it's allowing retailers to chose their own tags in Europe. Rearrange the letter 'W', 'F' and 'T' into a poular phrase an you'll have our reaction right there. Click on for more details and the international release dates.
Nintendo hasn't done much recently to grab the attention of the "M-rated crowd" and its love of bloody shooters, and it hasn't really needed to - the Wii may not be where we look for the best shooting experiences, but it's got lots of other lucrative bases covered. That said, when it comes to the 3DS, Nintendo may be planning to make the presence of violent games known right off the bat.
If this image of the upcoming Tom Clancy 3DS box art is any indication, it looks like Nintendo will be packaging its more intense games in black cases...

That's the word from a Japanese magazine report anyway, relating apparent consumer surveys from Nintendo's 3DS event in Tokyo last week. Dizziness and fatigue are the main symptoms mentioned by the report, with some players claiming to have suffered them after 10 minutes.
We are, however, a little dubious of these claims at the moment. Click on and we'll tell you why you shouldn't worry about a Nintendo-induced puke carnival just yet.

A fleeting mention of friend codes in Famitsu's preview of Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition has caused speculation that Nintendo's cumbersome system of adding online friends will make a return for the 3DS...
