Grab your heat-resistant red tunic and join us for the fifth video in our Ocarina FAP series. Carolyn, Henry and Mike watch Brett hoof it through a surprisingly straightforward dungeon with a serious handicap – a bizarre half-second delay that makes precise aiming and platforming nearly impossible. We get it sorted out for the next FAP, but hoo boy, this one gets shouty...

  • Earlier this week we got a chance to look at the 3DS eShop for the first time before it launches on Monday June 6. So far, the service looks similar to the DSi shop, with a handful of extra features. The main sections of the eShop are the Virtual Console, which is limited to original Game Boy games only at this time, and the DSiWare catalog, which replicates what’s already available on the original DSiWare shop. There's also a 3D Classics category, with Excitebike 3D the solo entry at launch, which will be available for free for the first month. Full details inside...

  • After the news over a week ago that Nintendo was requesting the removal of non-official Pokedex apps from iTunes and the Android market, we had an inkling that an official Pokedex was on the way in some form. Well, we now know that the 3D Pokedex will be available as a free download via the 3DS eShop when it launches on Monday June 6. But how does it stack up against other freely available fan 'dexes? We've got all the details...

  • With E3 in June, it’ll be a great month for getting excited about down-the-line games. It’s also a ridiculous time for current games, with oodles of top-notch-lookin’ high profile games hitting store shelves and digital distributors. For the adventurous type, June has a handful of games that could go either way, and a couple underdogs that a few folks will no doubt fall for. We hope you’re done with Portal 2, LA Noire, Motorstorm Apocalypse and whatever else you’ve got left from earlier this year—it’s time to move on to one of the busiest videogame summers since the infamously prosperous year of 1874...

  • Welcome one and all to a very special podcast. What makes it so special, you ask? Well not only is it set to make you even more excited about E3 in preparation for next week's big event, we've also gone to the trouble of writing 'special' on the header above.

As well as regulars such as the GamesRadar Hotline and What We've Been Playing we discuss the games that are making us giddy to see more of at E3. We also hammer out a wish list of big hitters we'd like to see at the show, which includes a segue into a long conversation about GTA V and Bully 2. We also hazard a guess as to who will win the conference war between the big three, Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft, and why we're hopefully optimistic of the show being aimed at hardcore gamers and not casual gaming buffoons.

No more child Link – part four in our series of Ocarina FAPs travels seven years into the future and sees a teenage Link investigating a haunted old castle deep in the forest. Venture inside for a rather cool Zelda dungeon, as well as some of the creepiest music in the entire series.

  • Ah, E3. The gamer's Mecca. The portal to digital delights. The effervescent well-spring of all that is right, true, new and exciting in the world of video games. Everyone wants to go there, but only a few ever achieve that sacred, fabled goal.

But don't worry about it! We at GamesRadar have all been to E3 (or shows very much like it) plenty of times, and we can tell you categorically that you don't actually need to be there to enjoy the same experience. In fact the Radar UK team isn't going this year, and we're really not bitter at all! Why? Because all of the key E3 elements can be easily simulated at home with the right knowledge and a few hastily-contrived situations. Whether you want to know how it feels to be a games journo at the LA Convention Centre or just want to feel the atmosphere and all-round sensory experience of the exhibition floor, we have a simulation for each and every facet of the show. So click on, take a deep breath, and we'll get started.

  • Next week, rumors will become realities. Next week, the face of gaming for the foreseeable future will be set. Next week, our hopes and dreams will be either confirmed or crushed. Next week, everything changes.

Okay, a bit overdramatic, maybe – especially since this monumental moment of reveal happens once every year. But even in an age of internet leaks and competing conferences, E3 is still incredibly exciting and still has the potential to be incredibly surprising...

Part three in our ongoing Ocarina FAP takes us inside Jabu Jabu, a sort of fish-lord that has gone ten kinds of crazy and swallowed Princess Ruto (seen above). I take the helm and guide Link through Jabu’s pulsating innards while Carolyn, Henry and Chris watch and continuously talk about dated news topics. You’ll definitely know when we recorded this!

  • We’re all adults here, right? What? We’re not? Well the gamerlings amongst us will one day grow up to be adult gamers, and one day you snot-nosed brats will understand the pain of us geezers, so this will serve as a manifesto for all gamers everywhere, since we all eventually join the creak-kneed club, and dammit if we aren’t cranky as hell about the immaturity still festering in our favorite artistic/entertainment medium. And developers have no excuse, because they’re all adults. Well, in theory at least. So here are the things we adults want to see in our games, because we’re actually not the boob-ogling, guffawing at exploding heads man/woman-babies the industry seems to think we are.

That’s why we want to see…
