      Reggie has a point (Nintendo games are amazing), but he wants to make it sound like games on other consoles aren't any good. Companies publishing on other consoles are competing with huge swaths of software-- often excellent titles, too. Nintendo has been in a situation where (almost) no one else makes games of note for their console-- you're not going to trade in New Super Mario Bros for another 2D platformer, or Mario Kart for another party racing game, because there won't be another one.

      Hnnnnggggg don't taunt me! Animal Crossing doesn't come out in the UK until Friday and I can barely contain myself. What I do know is that as soon as that thing goes up on the eShop, I'm downloading the living daylights out of it too. I don't usually download retail games (I'm still really against the whole "premium over RRP" mindset) but it just makes a lot more sense to have Animal Crossing on your system at all times. Bought a bigger SD card in readiness an everything. Yeah...that's kinda sad now that I think about it. :I

      "Tretton would later state that third parties can decide for themselves" Actually, he was only talking about multiplayer DRM that publishers may want to implement beyond Playstation+. There will be no new first- or third-party DRM for retail single player games, just like PS3. Also, PS4 is region free. :D Here are a couple of sources that say the same thing. You know, because people like to argue. Read on Destructoid: "Did Sony confirm DRM on PS4 after all? Not quite!" Read on Cinemablend: "It's Official: The PS4 Is Region Free; Hulu, Netflix Won't Require PS Plus"

      Square isn't doing so hot as a developer, but as a publisher they are really hitting their stride, at least when it comes to their Eidos franchises. Tomb Raider, Deus Ex Human Revolution, Sleeping Dogs, and they've got Thief coming. These were all really good games, and Thief is looking really exciting.
