Publisher 2K Games has confirmed that BioShock 2's two DLC packs will never be available for the PC version and apologized for any disappointed caused by the announcement. In a post on 2K Games' forums, senior manager of interactive marketing Elizabeth Tobey confirmed the bad news. "We will... not be offering Protector Trials and Minerva’s Den on the PC in the future – and I want to say that I’m sorry for the disappointment this will cause to PC players out there," says Tobey.

The Protector Trials DLC adds a new single-player rhythm game and more in-game maps. Minverva's Den also gives players some more single-player gameplay. Tobey clarified that "timing and technical issues" led to the decision.
