Mario and Wario is an old Super Nintendo puzzle game, developed by Pokemon creator Game Freak, that utilized the Super NES Mouse and Mousepad. The player controlled a fairy named Wanda, who would guide Mario (who couldn’t see a thing due to the bucket/vase/etc placed on his head by the dastardly Wario) through an obstacle course toward the goal. Never heard of it? That’s because it never saw release outside of Japan, one of several fun SNES Mouse games the rest of the world missed out on.
With the Wii U, that mistake can be remedied. We no longer need a mouse, as we have the GamePad’s touchscreen and stylus to get the job done. A new Mario and Wario wouldn’t have to be an extravagant release either, just a small addition to the eShop would be perfect. Also, it’s not like Game Freak is out of Nintendo’s reach, and they may enjoy developing something other than Pokemon for a change. Come on Nintendo, the rest of the world missed out the first time, help us out here!
